Lou’s News #18 – Dreams book out for a few weeks, reviews rolling

Post by Lou Dawson | March 25, 2024

Hi All,

Avalanche Dreams has been “officially” book-launched for a few weeks now. It is selling well and it’s the talk of Facebook. Or, at least that’s what the FB algorithm whispers to me in the seconds before something else pops up on my feed.

In any case, it’s been fun to bounce around between those digital walls of weirdness, though I’m looking forward to expanding my marketing reach once the reviews start rolling. The-High-Route.com has a take in the pipeline, as do the Aspen Daily News, the Sopris Sun, the Denver Post, and several magazines. There’s a few podcast sessions scheduled as well, and we’re planning on some kind of live signing event at Cripple Creek Backcountry, here in the epicenter of our little universe (TBA, Carbondale, Colorado).

Meanwhile, the case-laminate version of Avalanche Dreams was spotted in the AK, sprouting from a glacier as if a part of the ice and stone…

A book on Denali

As the chill of a March night fell over Denali, the climbers slept, restless in their tender nylon security, and dreamt of a beach in Baja.
