The day finally came. Last week we hit the yellow button on Amazon KDP, and published the ebook as well as the paperback:

As of a few days ago, both formats are live. (Hardcover and audio versions coming next.)
A Memoir of Skiing, Climbing, and Life
I had no idea how difficult this style of writing would be. And it was. There’s the part about baring your soul, and visiting the past a little too much and too deep. But more, there’s a challenge in scribbling a coherent narrative — with a few takeaways from a guy who was a tad accident prone, obsessed with snow, rock, and ice, yet always looking to a future that flew beyond the next hit of endorphins.
There’s history between these, some of it tragic. Yet there’s redemption, forgiveness and matrimony. There’s war, and there’s peace. All sprinkled with 82 classic black&white images.
The genre is “adventure lifestyle memoir,” yet categorizing something one might call an “epic” is too limiting. If you check it out, let me know what you think.
